Cat Club Europe has been created for the development and the protection of classic purebred cats and for the promotion of high quality cat breeding. For this purpose we have developed a quality label named Good Breeding Practices, by CCEU©.
This quality label can be asked for by all the breeders of breeds recognised by Cat Club Europe who wish to obtain a certification for the quality of their work. This certificate is neutral, objective and independent from any specific federation, cat club or country. It allows every breeder everywhere to demonstrate in a simple and factual manner the quality of their work, thanks to the publication of their certification on the website of Cat Club Europe.
The Good Breeding Practices is based on a detailed questionnaire filled in by the breeder and the automatic calculation of a score based on these answers. According to the obtained score the label of Good Breeding Practices obtained ranks from one to five stars (GBP Excellent , Premium , Superior, Standard or Novice Breeder).
The breeders with a valid certification of Good Breeding Practices can register their breeding cats and ask for pedigrees of their kittens from Cat Club Europe.
A member of the public, who is interested in a particular breed, has a reference of quality which is objective and standardized on the international level.
